Whooopeee -- there's a Mac version of the OPML Editor!First, welcome to all our friends in the Mac universe. I'm sorry it took so long to get the release out for the Mac, but here it is, ready for you to use, knock wood, praise Murphy, I am not a lawyer, my mother loves me, and all other disclaimers, past, present and future. To get the Mac software, follow the instructions in section 1a on the Download page. If you have questions or comments, or have difficulty, or hit a wall, please post a comment here or on one of the support mail lists (you'll find pointers in the navigation links to the right, here on the support website). And, thanks to Dave Luebbert for being my programming partner on the initial release of the OPML Editor. It's been a tough road, especially since I was working in Florida and Dave was working in Washington State, and Dave was working on a Mac, and I was working on Windows. We're now attacting the programming talent I hoped we would, but Dave believed in this project before anyone else did, and for that he has my deep gratitude. Couldn't have done it without Big Dave. And thanks to Andre Radke, for providing the extra help we needed to get the initial Mac version out the door. It's not perfect, not by any means, but it works, you can do all the things that people have been doing with the Windows software, create blogs, route stuff through categories, publish directories, do Instant Outlining. And from this point on, all new stuff will ship for both Mac and Windows simultaneously. The cross-operating-system foundation is here. Yaha! Important: There's a bug we fixed, in changing the header graphic on your blog, in the Mac version. To get the fix, choose Get Latest Code from the Community menu. # Posted by Dave Winer on 7/31/05; 8:34:04 AM - --
