New updating method for dotOpml.root

In this release, 0.64, dotOpml.root switches to be updated using the same method as newsRiver.root and opml.root. Only the parts that changed are installed. It's a tricky little corner-turn, but luckily very easy for you, assuming you do things in the right order. So please, do things in the right order. ;->

How to install

1. Choose Get Latest Code from the Community menu.

2. Choose Update opml.root from the File menu.

3. Quit the OPML Editor and re-launch.

That's it. Then from now on you'll do things exactly the same way you always used to do them. Like I said, the changes are largely on my end, not yours.

Why?

Well, the next big thing on my todo list is to package up all this innovation, newsRiver.root, wordPress.root, the beautiful new icons, and make it trivially easy to install, and get new download packages going. I want to have updating be much more streamlined in all respects, so having a single method for updating seems a necessary part of that. Think of it as house-cleaning before a big party.
